Thermal Drone Deer Recovery

 Losing track of a deer after the shot can be frustrating and emotional. At LandSight Drones, we use advanced thermal imaging drones to help hunters recover downed deer safely, legally, and ethically.

Our FAA-certified and insured pilots locate deer by detecting body-heat signatures from the air, even in low light or difficult terrain. Each search is conducted with professionalism, respect for property, and full compliance with hunting regulations.

1️⃣ You Call — We Deploy Quickly
As soon as you lose visual or blood trail, contact us. Thermal recovery is most effective within the first few hours after the shot. 

We can launch day or night (thermal is most effective at night or near dawn/dusk when ground temperatures are cooler).

Note on coverage: Thermal can see well in open areas, fields, and light brush. Dense tree canopy, tall crops, hot surfaces (sun-warmed rocks/roofs), or high winds can reduce detection range. We adjust altitude, flight paths, and camera settings to give you the best possible chance under the conditions.

2️⃣ We Search the Area
Our drones scan fields, trails, and wooded edges using high-resolution thermal and zoom cameras to detect heat signatures. You or the property owner must be present during the search.

3️⃣ We Locate & Guide You In
If a deer is found, we mark its exact GPS coordinates and guide you to the recovery site. If the deer is still alive, no further pursuit will be made that day, following ethical and legal guidelines.

• Service is limited to locating deer believed to be dead or mortally wounded
   
• No live hunting assistance is provided under any circumstance
   
• Client must have landowner permission and all required hunting licenses
   
• If a deer is found alive, pursuit must stop until the next legal hunting day
   

All clients must review and sign our LandSight Drones Liability Waiver before flight operations begin. (Please find this document under the Support Section)

 Our pricing is straightforward and transparent:

• $350 Call-Out Fee — Includes travel to the site and up to 2.5 hours of search time using our advanced thermal drone system.
   
• $100 Recovery Confirmation Fee — Applies only if the deer is located, whether found dead or alive.
   

This ensures you only pay the additional fee if we successfully identify your deer.

We operate day or night, with the best results during cool evening or early morning hours when thermal contrast is strongest.

Serving Northeast Ohio and surrounding areas — typically within a 45 minute radius from Columbiana, Ohio, with extended coverage available upon request.
